As an avid digital photographer, I have long lamented that despite the seemingly countless image-management solutions, from shareware to full-blown asset management tools, I have yet to find one that combines all the features I need on a daily basis. Sad to say, Photodex's CompuPic Pro 5.1 doesn't fill the void.

Features and image quality recommend the Nikon CoolPix 990 to casual and professional photographers alike. I suspect the price is a bit too steep, however, for most amateurs, and it ought to include the case, AC adapter, and above all, a rechargeable battery kit.

If my initial experience with the Kodak DC3400 -- downloading pictures from it to my notebook PC with a serial cable -- had been indicative of its overall performance, I would have paid someone to take this $500, 2X-zoom digital camera off my hands.
