X-Ray Magazine, published by ThePowerXChange, has just announced a worldwide software and product drawing that includes contributions from more than 75 different well-respected and industry-recognized software and product manufacturers and service providers. Contributions from industry leaders combine to total an amazing $25,000 -- creating a software library that would rival any collection. The entire suite is listed and an entry form can be accessed at X-Ray Magazine's web site (http://www.xraymag.com/25000.html)

"The challenge in selling extensions technology, or in writing stories about these products, it that the majority of software users do not know the breadth of the possibilities that extensions provide. The average user will repeat a lengthy and tedious workflow for years without realizing that an extension, Automator, AppleScript, or application exists that makes child's play of their processes. The purpose of this contest is to expose too-well-hidden secrets," said Cyndie Shaffstall, managing member of ThePowerXChange and editor/publisher of X-Ray Magazine.

As a sponsor, Quark contributed five copies of QuarkXPress -- one for the winner and four friends or colleagues -- and a copy of Quark Print Collection. Along with ThePowerXChange, Creative Quadrant, StockLayouts, EMSxt, Gassenhuber, and Sterling Ledet all contributed products or services worth $1000 or more. The grand prize includes software XTensions, Plug-ins, applications, utilities, fonts, stock images, books, training videos, services, and other products, with a total combined retail value of more than $25,000. For applicable products, winner may choose the platform, application compatibility, and delivery format (boxed or electronic).
The complete list of contributors, products, and retail values is posted to the web site and can be found here: http://www.xraymag.com/offers/contributors.html

The giveaway is open to any person at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and requires no purchase, but is limited to one entry per person. While the contest is being promoted worldwide, it is void where prohibited and once a winner is selected, their residency restrictions on prize winnings will be verified before the prize is awarded. The chances of winning will be determined by the number of entries.

The drawing, to be held on 1 March 2008, and announced at the Graphics of the Americas show in Florida, will launch on 16 January 2008 at Macworld in San Francisco. The prize is a winner-take-all gift.
