DW 8 vs GL CS2
I stopped using DW with version 4, due to two things: stability and site management tools. GoLive was, at least on my four machines, better in both areas.
I'm not happy that signs and hints point to GL being dropped by Adobe, although I'm not surprised. The CS 2 version did have some nice changes but all in all it was underwhelming.
My question is this: comparing the two, how is DW's site management component? Has it been improved? Can one layout an entire site or site section and then have DW build the actual pages from this diagram? Can a sitemap/diagram be saved and published via PDF or other methods?
If Adobe does drop GL I hope they add a lot of GL stuff to DW that I love, and I hope they sell the program off to folks who will keep it alive. Even if you are a die hard DW fan, competition is a great thing; it keeps all competing programs fresh and exciting.

Mind you ...
Mind you, I do find my Dreamweaver MX 2004 to be a tad clunky. I just can't believe that they still only have single threaded FTP. 3D-FTP leaves it for dead when it comes to getting the files up on to the server.
I hope Adobe picks Dreamweaver as the ONE!
I hope your suggestion is correct that Adobe will choose Dreamweaver as the only professional web authoring tool. However, it concerns me that this article refers to GoLive CS2 as stable! GoLive CS2 is NOT stable. All one has to do is visit the Adobe GoLive forum to see this. GO DREAMWEAVER!
